Mixtape In The Works With Virginia Based Rapper Louie V

Posted in Just Thought This Was Dope, Put You On Some Game with tags , , , on February 27, 2010 by malachiproducer

I hate to hype my own music up but this is a project that I’m really excited about. I’m teaming up with an LA artist by the name of Louie V in attempts to create a project that spans the length of the country. Once again I can’t tell you what songs to expect or when exactly this will be released. I can’t even tell you the name yet. Just know that its in route to being something VERY different from what Seattle and the left coast are used to hearing.

As far as Louie goes, he delivers his lyrics through a smooth and well developed flow that never needs an over powering instrumental to enhance his presence on a song. It is obvious even to the untrained listener that my man is a product of a multi- cultural Hip Hop scene that has allowed him to experiment with different forms of the genre. A scene that spans the width of the country. He currently resides in Virginia and has plans to re-located to L.A. in the future where he will undoubtedly be recognized as one of the region’s premier emcees. Even in a market that is over saturated with musicians, Louie V’s style will be the driving force in his attempts to stand out.

Kendrick Lamar’s Ep Gets Closer

Posted in Just Thought This Was Dope with tags , , on December 28, 2009 by malachiproducer

Compton rapper and Jay Rock affiliate Kendrick Lamar’s self titled Ep will be released digitally for free download via Itunes onĀ  the 31st of this month. Check my man out, he comes with what many would refer to as an unorthodox approach to his music considering the history of emcees that have emerged from the same city.

This is Mr Lamar and producer Soundwave in the studio making his track “Celebration.”

Being Igbo you know I had to post this! I first saw the video of the Busta Rhymes and Ludacris performance on 2dopeboyz. I felt that it was only appropriate for me to show you guys this. The two international superstars performed in two of Nigeria’s biggest cities, Lagos and Abuja. Ludacris also debuted his new single “How Low” from his Battle Of The Sexes alum due to be released in February of 2010. Ka chi foo

Truthfully Mickey Factz and Asmash

Posted in Just Thought This Was Dope, Put You On Some Game with tags , , , , , , , on December 22, 2009 by malachiproducer

The Bronx Bomber Mickey Factz and Brooklyn rapper Asmash released a song entitled New Words just the other day. The song is a remake of the Kanye West song Two Words off his debut College Dropout album. Although the song uses the same melody and the framework of the verses are that of Kanye’s and Mos Def’s, the song is still original in the sense that there are no drums giving the track a more consequential feel.

If your like me then your waiting patiently for Mickey Factz to release Alpha on new years. This probably wont be on the Album but its a sign of things to come.

This is a video by Stephen Gray. Its footage of the GoMachine show that took place this past weekend at Crocodile in Belltown. If your like me and missed the two day spectacle then I guess this is the next best thing. If the actual show was anything like what Gray captured, then I might have missed the show of the year.

The roster for the weekend included artists such as Fresh Espresso, Spaceman, Grynch, Macklemore, Thee satisfaction, and The physics just to name a few.
