Mixtape In The Works With Virginia Based Rapper Louie V

Posted in Just Thought This Was Dope, Put You On Some Game with tags , , , on February 27, 2010 by malachiproducer

I hate to hype my own music up but this is a project that I’m really excited about. I’m teaming up with an LA artist by the name of Louie V in attempts to create a project that spans the length of the country. Once again I can’t tell you what songs to expect or when exactly this will be released. I can’t even tell you the name yet. Just know that its in route to being something VERY different from what Seattle and the left coast are used to hearing.

As far as Louie goes, he delivers his lyrics through a smooth and well developed flow that never needs an over powering instrumental to enhance his presence on a song. It is obvious even to the untrained listener that my man is a product of a multi- cultural Hip Hop scene that has allowed him to experiment with different forms of the genre. A scene that spans the width of the country. He currently resides in Virginia and has plans to re-located to L.A. in the future where he will undoubtedly be recognized as one of the region’s premier emcees. Even in a market that is over saturated with musicians, Louie V’s style will be the driving force in his attempts to stand out.

“Dr. Ripken holding a clinic, to bring the game back to health hen I’m finished.”

It appears  that he is doing just that. Kil Ripken the Brooklyn based artist/visionary/better than your average emcee, has teamed up with one of Seattle’s most sought after producers Eric G. What was the result of such a combination? A CRAZY lyrical assault on not only your speakers and headphones, but also a verbal warning to the Hip Hop community that there is still an unsaturated niche where lyrically talented emcees ca still prosper.

The name of the track that was leaked is “Aftermath Pt 1..” The track is the second release off the highly anticipated album “The Balancing Act.”

Marcus D Produces Remix For “U Were There”

So i heard this strait from the source a few days ago. Marcus D let me know that DC area rapper Substantial had reached out to him in attempts to get him to remix the single off his WINK mixtape entitled “U Were There.” The original track was produced by Joe D and features vocals from singer JSoul. I heard the remix the other day and its nothing short of a piece of well crafted art. I think even those who don’t listen to music as in depth will find an immediate appreciation for the song both original and remix. The mixtape will be released on February 9th. Posted in Nation Wide Haps with tags , , , , on February 1, 2010 by malachiproducer

Former Seattle resident and current affiliate of Seattle based producer Budo, Grieves has announced the re-release of his 88 Keys & Counting album that was originally released on November 12th in 2008.  The project will be released March 2nd on Rhymesayers now that Grieves is on the official roster. Just like the original, expect the second coming of the project to be completely produced by Budo, including any extra tracks that may not have been included on the album on it’s first go around.

Look out for his second full length studio album set to drop sometime during the fall 2010.
