Heres a video from the final round of the Urbanity Beat Battle that I was in. My man Marcus D took won in dramatic fashion with some over the top instrumentals. Overall it was a great experience, I got to check out a bunch of Seattle producers who I had never met in person. The roster of producers included names like Brainstorm of Dyme Def, Jack The Ripper, Trox, Dj El Grande, and Baked Beatz just to name a few.
This video is the overtime round.
Another track off of Pinder’s Code Red Ep which will be available via digital download on 4/9/2010
My man Brainstorm of the Seattle’s Dyme Def trio would like to give the listeners 2 minutes and 17 seconds of pure unadulterated listening euphoria. The track was also produced by Brainstorm. Ill just leave it at that, and let those of you who have just become suddenly interested in the track click the link below to begin the experience.

Just saw this video for the first time today. I can do nothing but praise the SOTA crew for their visual creativity in the video. The group is from Seattle but the video was shot by 5ive Studios in Long Beach, CA. Im impressed by not only the willingness of the group to step outside of the box and do a video with no graffiti walls or Seattle skyline, but also by the way the 3 emcees each demonstrate their abilities to ride the a bass heavy 808 inspired drum pattern that is contrasted by a melodic harp loop. Overall a well crafted piece of work.
Vitamin D, one of Seattle’s most seasoned vets with years of northwest hip hop to back an impressive resume has added another song to his catalog. The producer/rapper produced the track Fresh & Fly which features North Carolina producers 9th Wonder and Khrysis. The song is off The Hardy Boy Mystery Mixtape by Durham emcee Thee Tom Hardy.
